With work-from-home culture being adapted widely post COVID-19 outbreak design softwares, such as Canva, are experiencing increased usage.
Undoubtedly, recently increased digitalization of businesses and work from culture design culture is experiencing a boom. Adding to it Canva a well-known design software has recently announced new funding that has raised the value of startup from $3.2 billion in October 2019 to $6 billion. They were able to raise $60 million funding from Blackbird and Sequoia China, with participation from fellow previous investors Bond, Felicis and General Catalyst.
According to the company, its paid user base has topped 500,000 organizations and 1.5 million paid subscribers to Canva’s paid account type, Canva Pro. More than 30 million people each month use the software overall, which operates on a “freemium” model that allows many users to access its features for free. Canva says it is also used today by 90,000 schools and universities, 55,000 non-profits, and boasts larger-sized accounts including American Airlines, Hubspot and Warner Music.
