Many big automotive companies are trying to expand their product range to more vehicles like the BMW is making electric bikes and motorcycles, Audi is manufacturing electric mountain bikes, Mercedes-Benz unveiled an electric scooter, Ford acquired e-scooter startup Spin, and Jeep recently unveiled a high-powered electric mountain bike and now to join the group premium motorcycle manufacturer Harley Davidson unveiled their first electric bicycle under the name of Series 1 eBicycles.

Inspired by the entrepreneurial vision of Harley-Davidson’s founders—and the revolutionary impact of their oldest-known motorcycle, affectionately referred to as “Serial Number One—Serial 1 Cycles was created for the sole purpose of delivering innovative eBicycles that make every ride an adventure. Combining Harley-Davidson’s world-class product development capability with the agility of a start-up brand, Serial 1 Cycles offers premium eBicycles guided by intelligent, human-centered design and crafted using the most advanced bicycle technology available, to create the easiest and most intuitive way to experience the fun, freedom and instant adventure of riding a pedal-assist electric bicycle.

The Series 1 eBicycles are expected to hit the market in spring 2021 and it’s the price is also expected to come out around the same time also. So let’s wait and see what this new venture will bring for the audience.

Companies are expanding their product line due to products than the conventional manufacturer due to the increasing popularity in trends like cycling, electric scooter and electric vehicles. rather than being conventional and stick to their niche, automobile manufacturers are not exploring to enter the market unconventional to them. in this case the bicycle market was estimated to be over $15 billion in 2019 and projected to grow at an annual rate of more than 6 percent from 2020 to 2025 and Harley Davidson's decision to set foot in the eBicycles business can turn out to be one of their biggest success.
