The new ‘synthetic selfies’ software by Apple could be the brand new way to create memories by not hindering the norms of social distancing.
The onset of coronavirus has left the citizens of the world under a complete shutdown. In these dire circumstances quarantine, social distancing and isolation are the only way to keep the disease at bay. From payments to classes – everything has gone digital. Going out with friends and families, clicking selfies isn’t a common site anymore and their absence has sure affected the mass population and has given major FOMO!
Apple has been granted a patent for new software that allows users to generate ‘synthetic selfies’. With this newfangled software, people can take group selfies long deprived of. The software would remove people’s actual backgrounds and allow one to invite in people in their group selfie session and thus giving everyone a uniform background and curating a perfect synthetic group selfie. The selfie could include still photos, stored video images, or live streaming images from the users.
