After successfully pulling off the premiere of Christopher Nolan’s movie trailer for Tenet in-game in Fortnite, Epic announced the screening of a full-length Nolan movie soon.
The announcement came after the lastest telecast of Chris Nolan’s trailer for his highly-anticipated new film Tenet premiered in-game on May 21. During the in-game event, video-game media host Geoff Keighley shared the news about the free, full-length screening of one of Nolan’s ‘iconic’ films in the Battle Royale world. The name of the movie or the date hasn’t been revealed yet.
This would be the first event of its kind. Fortnite has been used as a platform to show trailers in the past as well, including exclusive clips and more. But a full-length movie screening is a step up from the previous screenings.
The introduction of new non-violent mode in the Battle Royale game Fortnite has taken the game to a direction which is more open to collaboration with brands and artists for creative ventures. Fortnite is rapidly becoming a platform for movie screenings, virtual gigs and other virtual social meets.
