Teaming up with Apple Music, Balenciaga has launched a series of curated playlists for its latest collection.
The iconic fashion house Balenciaga has announced the launch of curated apple music playlists, which are set to accompany a small collection of clothing. This exciting announcement comes on the heels of a collaboration with Cardi B, in which the fashion house featured the rapper on a billboard in Paris. Balenciaga Artistic Director, Demna Gvasalia has an ear for all things arts, including music, announcing that the luxury brand is officially on Apple Music. The playlists will be created by a group of influential artists that have inspired the designer throughout his career. Each release will be accompanied by wardrobe staples like tees to be available at Balenciaga’s online store and select locations. The inaugural designs take inspiration from backstage gear from clubs and concerts.
“The Balenciaga x Apple Music playlists will be by some of my favorite music artists, each of whom I have personally selected. These playlists will represent their personal tastes and influences, giving insight into what they listen to in their own lives,” Gvasalia commented in a press release. “To launch the project, I decided to release my own playlist, including some favorite tracks that I listen to every day. This playlist is a musical introduction and representation of me. This is why it is called ‘Hello, My Name Is Demna.’”
