Reliance to offer a new headset providing holographic calls and 3D figures.
It’s been almost four months since the work from home become a necessity in every workaholic’s life. Video calling applications have become the new offices. But it doesn’t provide the same experience as an offline gathering. This pandemic has given new opportunities to the various companies to curate something innovative that provides the user with real-time experience at the comfort of their couch.
Augmented reality is a good alternative but can’t be used at workplaces and is very costly. Thus, Reliance in partnership with Google came up with something very innovative. With Google owning the 7.7% stake in the Reliance company, The CEO launched a product named Jio Glass which offers holographic video calls with 3D figures of themselves and also share presentations at the same time. A personalized audio system has been attached to the glass to make the offering compact and more accessible to the users. It is an android based operating system. The product already has 25 inbuilt apps that will allow augmented reality video meetings and much more. It is a very lightweight product attached to a single cable, making the product very convenient for consumers.
