Club KW 44 in Shanghai has shown the world how to party amidst the pandemic with proper precautionary measures.
The ever-rising numbers of people infected with COVID led the world into a state of hibernation. From schools to clubs, everything except essential services was shut down. People are of the belief that with COVID, we are moving towards the new normal and ultimately people will have to step out and adapt to the new lifestyle.
Nightclubs in China are opening up with precautionary measures. Disinfectant, disposable cups and masks have become as integral as the music in the club. 44 KW, an electronic music club in Shanghai opened up towards the end of March and managed to get momentum in mid-April. Costumers are allowed in post temperature checkups and dance and enjoy themselves taking social distancing measures.
Many changes have been introduced in the club since COVID – glasses have been replaced by plastic-use and throw cups, hand sanitizers are extensively available; bartenders, bouncers and waiters wear masks and gloves so as to prevent the spread of the virus. Door handles and toilets are disinfected frequently and the club is disinfected before opening and after closing.
