Walmart and Tribeca find a solution for the post-COVID movie experiences with drive-in theatres.
After the withdrawal of lockdown all over the world, people are trying to get into their normal life and different companies are trying yo make it possible, with the collaboration of Tribeca, WALMART is planning to start drive-in movie premieres, at selected WALMART stores. Being the extension of Tribeca-led drive-In program that had been announced in cites like Los Angeles, New York, Miami, Seattle, and Arlington, Texas, with help from IMAX and AT&T, WALMART is planning to convert 160 store locations into makeshift drive-in movie theaters.
The schedule is not yet confirmed by WALMART but the tentative list of movies given by Tribeca includes The Bodyguard, Straight Outta Compton, Creed, Jerry Maguire, Space Jam, Love & Basketball, Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure, Back to the Future and many more.
In the presence of COVID-19, Walmart is trying to bring back trying to bring a safe indoor theater experience for everyone. The venture is expected to start from August and continue till October.
