Brands take inspiration from pop culture for marketing strategies.
Nowadays, brands have to be very strategic. Each and every move by them needs to be customer-oriented. Truly for the customer, by the customer, from the customer. This has called for brands to take inspiration from pop culture. Marketing campaigns are mainly focused on that. From Fashion, culinary to food and technology each one of them is adapting to what’s trending among the consumers.
The trend of science fiction has been quite in the news. Stranger things, marvels, Dark etc. have led people’s interest to diverge in that genre. This has called for the companies to run their marketing ads around science fiction. A lot of brands are playing into this phenomenon through very strategic marketing – making it easy for them to catch the attention of consumers, and maintain it long enough to make a lasting impression. Recently Coca-Cola launched a stranger things-Themed pop-up arcade. They introduced limited-edition cans of Coca-Cola with flipped designs inspired by the series’ Upside Down. This arcade is inspired by a lot of science fiction shows such as the iconic characters, a show inspired decor etc. This pop up would offer a treat to all the series fans and will surely be a delight to the brand customers.
