Space has always been beyond the imagination of common people. Everything related to space has always been in buzz let it be sci-fi movies or informatory documentaries. Observing the same NASA in 2019 announced that the International Space Station (ISS) is open. Firms now had been allowed to do research on the ISS under contract with NASA. With this NASA hoped that this would bring cash to the agency for continuing deep exploration in space.

Seeing this as an opportunity, Estee Lauder, a leading U.S based beauty brand became the first brand to partner with NASA to send its newest skincare product to space for an ad shoot. NASA is continuously making efforts towards enabling business opportunities on the International Space Station as opening the International Space Station to business is a part of the agency’s efforts to enable a robust low-Earth orbit economy.

Estee Lauder will send its Advanced Night Repair serum to space and was scheduled to launch aboard a Cygnus spacecraft atop an Antares rocket on Northrop Grumman’s 14th commercial resupply services mission for NASA on September 29th, 2020, and will arrive at the International Space Station on October 3rd, 2020. Advanced Night Repair serum will be photographed for use on the brand’s social media platforms.

The brand will be paying $128,000 to NASA to fly ten bottles of serum to the ISS. This amount is almost equal to what the brand would be paying to a big influencer for some Instagram posts.

Estee Lauder through its newest campaign hopes to take science and innovation to greater heights.
