The festive season is upon us. But with covid-19 crossing its eight-month mark, almost all activities that involved mass gatherings were shifted to an online platform. Navratri is one of the most celebrated festivals of our country, too is being celebrated as an e-event this year. Watching classic festival re-runs on television might be a fine way to spend the pandemic hit season, yet they crucially lack the live and interactive thrill of real-world gathering.
The Rotaract Club of New Delhi is bringing the virtual event Jalsa 4.0- ann online Dandiya Night on the 24th of October on the video-calling app Zoom. Although online, it is an event full of fun, interactions and challenges that will break all norms of a traditional physical dandiya night. It is an open-to-all event with a lineup that is yet to be revealed. Interested festival-goers can register for a fee of Rs 100 on the online booking platform Bookmyshow.
